My Secret
06/05/2006
I watch my thoughts.
When I think a negative thought, I immediately negate it, dismiss it, or otherwise chastise myself for thinking such a thought.
When something I don't like happens to me, I immediately remind myself that this is what I have attracted to me, one way or another.
I pause to consider what it is I didn't want so bad that it actually happened.
The answer is always the same:
What happened to me that I didn't want is what I so strongly didn't want to happen to me.
By giving up the thoughts of what I don't want to happen to me (by not caring whether it happens or not), then if it should happen, it doesn't matter, and it no longer leaves a negative impression on me.
The miracle is in the transformation of my life through the transformation of my thoughts.
Meditation helps to relax the mind.
Prayer helps to focus the thoughts.
Effective prayer is not in asking for what you want or in asking to not have what you don't want.
Effective prayer is centering your thoughts on acts of Love, toward yourself and others, and acknowledging that Love is always with you, from you, by you, and about you.
You are Love.
Teach only Love, for that is what you are. (ACIM)
Thought projects. Love extends.
Thought makes things. Love creates reality.
What you make is never permanent; what you create is eternal.
It is easy to fall prey to becoming your thoughts or in thinking you are what you think.
It is easy to project who you think you are, or even to project who you think you want to be or should be.
It is even easier to choose to just BE a loving person, to yourself and others.
Feel yourself as Love and you will begin to know you are Love, and then all things are possible to you.
Emotions may seem to be the power behind the law of attraction, but without Love what you attract simply whithers away.
Give credit where credit is due. (Similar to Praise God.)
Joy is not an emotion, but happiness is.
Hence, trying to be happy will push Love away.
To be content is to feel the presence of joy.
