Soulful Reflections of One Mind
Until I saw you.
Then all of my thinking
Was lost in the blue.
I tossed in my sleepless,
Forlorn empty night,
Betraying myself to
The creatures of fright.
Be gone! I did pray for
My peace to return.
My eyes fell away; from
The light I did shun.
You stayed by my side 'till
At last I let go
Of the horrors of mindlessly
Making it so.
When finally giving
My last little thought,
I bathed in the joy that
My giving had bought.
